Professione Musical is a three-year full-time course. To be a professional musical, one must properly master its three main disciplines: dance, singing and acting. <\/span><\/p>\n

The study of <\/span>dance <\/b> includes several in-depth lessons on both practical and theoretical levels. The dance <\/span>classical <\/b>forms the technical basis for all other disciplines, improving posture, coordination and body awareness. The <\/span>jazz <\/b>develops energy, stamina and the ability to assimilate choreography, while the <\/span>pas de deux<\/b> teaches how to work in harmony with the partner. The <\/span>tap <\/b>and the <\/span>flamenco <\/b>refine the sense of rhythm, and dance <\/span>contemporary <\/b>works on fluidity and breathing. <\/span>
<\/span>You can request combined dance and singing lessons or meetings <\/span>in preparation for the examinations <\/b>professional examinations of the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>chant <\/b>is studied in all its forms, from <\/span>musical reading<\/b> (with theory lessons and solfege) to <\/span>choral singing<\/b>, to learn to be part of a professional musical production. Individual lessons allow you to perfect vocal technique and delve deeper into the repertoire of the musical. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the first year of the course, technique, correct terminology, the <\/span>diction <\/b>and phonetics accompanied by exercises to explore the body and become aware of one’s character. The audition is divided into three parts:<\/p>\n

1) Music:<\/strong> Candidates must perform a song, preferably from a musical, that showcases their vocal abilities. The musical backing can be provided either on CD or via sheet music brought by the candidate for piano accompaniment.<\/p>\n

2) Acting:<\/strong> A workshop during which voice use, concentration, and performance skills will be assessed.<\/p>\n

3) Dance:<\/strong> A physical aptitude test and the learning of a short jazz dance combination will help determine whether the candidate is capable of handling the demanding physical work required by the school.<\/p>\n
