The story of Professione danza
In 1994, the first Professional Training Course for Dancers was established — a four-year program that, through a selective admission process, has enabled numerous young talents to join some of the world’s leading dance companies or become qualified instructors.
In 2006, the full-time Professione Musical course was launched — a three-year advanced training program for musical theatre performers, which has trained artists who are now active in some of the most prominent national and international productions.
Since 2008, it has offered a prestigious international Summer School, welcoming students from all over the world for an intensive week of training with instructors from leading dance companies and top-tier academies.
Since 2011, in collaboration with Danzainfiera, the school has organized Musical: il Concorso — the most important musical theatre competition in Italy.
In 2020, the Balletto di Parma was founded — a youth company that serves as a bridge between academic training and the professional world, offering graduates the opportunity to gain real performance experience within an educational framework.

The structure of the center
Professione Danza Parma is a place designed to inspire and welcome. Each room is designed to ensure comfort, safety and functionality, complying with sanitation regulations and offering bright spaces thanks to large windows.
The atmosphere of the school is unique: a sensory and emotional journey takes students through colors, materials and design details that evoke art and movement. The dance studios are spacious, equipped with cushioned flooring for maximum safety, mirrors, bars, and high-quality sound systems.
Equipped locker rooms, a relaxation and study area, as well as spaces dedicated to physical therapy and student wellness complete the facility. Each element contributes to Create a stimulating and welcoming environment, designed to nurture young artists in an environment of excellence.
